Your children are some way off from starting on their career path. It is not yet time for them to find answers to tough questions like, “Who do I want to be?” “What type of life do I want to live?” or for the matter “What college degree should I decide on?” Does that mean that they should continue wandering through these early years passively waiting for when they reach 10th grade or 12th grade?
At GOAL, we truly wish each child enjoys his/her childhood to the fullest. We want that they open themselves to varied experiences, not let go of any opportunities, and make many wonderful memories. However, we would also like for some of these to be a little less random, a little more deliberate. If you see sense in this, and:

Lekha is one of the most positive people I know. She has a sense of clarity and confidence in her area. Simple interactions with her can turn challenges into opportunity. As a coach, she asks great questions and gives the right advice even when it isn’t what you want to hear. But, isn’t that what we really want in a coach?
It is my great pleasure to pen this short note. Having worked with Lekha at Pune, I have known her as someone who is highly enthusiastic about making learning fun. Having worked across India and Singapore, she has an intimate understanding of the corporate world. As she embarks on this new venture of assisting the young in designing their own careers, I am sure that she will empower many to plan and achieve their career goals.
Lekha has a natural gift of connecting with people. People always feel comfortable and valued in her presence. When she engages with people, she gives them her full attention because she’s truly interested in them. She’s not looking to impress them—instead she wants to know who they are, what they are saying, what they think, and how they see the world. And she listens with an open mind. These are qualities, I believe, that makes for a great counsellor.
I have known Lekha for a little over two decades now. Though our working relationship was of less than five years, we have remained friends and have had lengthy conversations over the years. One regular topic has been the education sector. She has often expressed the desire to be of help to aspiring students hoping to achieve higher education. I am sure she will be a great support to young students in need of an enthusiastic supporter.
